NOSEY cows were caught on camera strolling through a street and peeping through residents’ windows.

At around 11am on Wednesday, three cows were seen roaming on Pye Avenue, Mapplewell.

Video footage was sent to the Chronicle by Lou Rock, who couldn’t quite believe what she had seen when her boyfriend’s sister sent through the footage.

Sandra Whittaker, who lives on the street and witnessed the visit, said: “I have never seen anything like it. My neighbour told me what was happening and I looked out the window and saw the cows.

“To be honest I couldn’t stop laughing. My dog was barking like mad and really didn’t like them. They went about their business and then a man came and ushered them away, walking down towards Dearne Hall Road.

“It was very amusing and luckily nothing was damaged.”
