A FORMER Barnsley Hospital surgeon who denies allegations of sexual misconduct will return for the conclusion of a tribunal next week, it has been announced.

The incidents allegedly took place between 2006 and 2015 at the hospital and involved 54-year-old Dr Muhammad Khan, who is alleged to have groped staff members.

Dr Khan was reported to the General Medical Council following a police investigation and he had been appearing before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester in the spring.

The case was adjourned and will resume on Wednesday.
