THREE businesses will open their doors in the town centre’s new food court tomorrow.

Market Kitchen, which is housed above Barnsley Market, is already home to several cafes, a dessert specialist and a coffee shop, but customers will get a taste of Indian, Thai and Balkan cuisine in the form of Rajah, Khao Niew and Jar Bar.

The space is now fully let, with three more offers completing the line-up when they open this November - including Barnsley town centre’s first entirely vegan offer.

Cabinet spokesman Coun Tim Cheetham said: “We’re excited that the new businesses will bring something completely different to our town centre. They will make Market Kitchen a unique offer and make it the ideal location to eat, drink, socialise and unwind.”
