A FESTIVAL of Remembrance will be held in a town centre church tomorrow (Thursday)to commemorate Barnsley's fallen servicemen and women.
The festival will take place at St Mary's Church, Church Street, at 7pm and has been organised by the Royal British Legion.
Several people are expected to attend including the Mayor, Coun Pauline Markham, and there will be performances by the Barnsley Metropolitan Band and the North Gawber Male Choir.
Goff Griffifths of the Royal British Legion said: “The pubic are welcome to attend this fantastic event and we look forward to welcoming you at St Mary’s to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives during the war.”
