A MAPPLEWELL cafe is the ‘perfect location’ for a new defibrillator which was unveiled this week.
Landon’s Diner, on Blacker Road, was revealed as the location of the village’s new defibrillator on Monday afternoon outside the diner.
The defibrillator was donated by Tony Batty, 53, a barber of Racecommon Road, Barnsley, who has fund-raised, with the help of the local community, to install more defibrillators around Barnsley.
The campaign followed a defibrillator going missing from outside his barber’s shop. It has since been returned.
“I donated the defibrillator on behalf of my friend Luke so hopefully it’s the perfect location and will make a big difference.”
