Barnsley defender Dimitri Cavare has joined Swiss club FC Sion for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old Frenchman played 65 games for the Reds after arriving in 2017 but had not been involved since November with head coach Gerhard Struber saying the defender was no longer in his plans.
He joined the Reds in 2017 from Rennes, playing ten games in the first season which ended in relegation. He was almost an ever-present last season in League One but struggled for regular gametime since promotion.
