Police cordon in Hoyland as woman taken to hospital

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after an alleged assault on a Hoyland street.
A police cordon remains in place around St Helen’s Street and Cherry Tree Street after a 39-year-old woman was found injured on St Helen’s Street at around 7pm last night (Tuesday).
The woman was taken to hospital with head and facial injuries.
A police spokesman said officers remain in the area while enquiries are carried out.
