A FORMER Coronation Street actor and BBC DJ is heading to the Birdwell Venue for a funk and soul music gig.
Craig Charles is performing his act on May 7 in what is set to be a sell-out event.
The former Red Dwarf and Robot Wars man has been broadcasting his love for soul on BBC 6 Music for the past ten years, becoming one of the UK’s best-loved funk and soul DJs in the process.
Two weeks later, another band is coming to Barnsley as the world’s first authentic Fleetwood Mac tribute band are playing at the Birdwell Venue.
Fleetwood Bac, who are endorsed by Mick Fleetwood himself, are performing their act which focuses on the ‘Rumours’ era of the band on Saturday 23 May.
Ranked as one of the top five tribute bands in the UK by The Times, the band have many admirers, even the original bassist Bob Brunning who has previously appeared on stage with them.
