According to the council, the sites have remained very busy and crowded, despite guidance from the government to only travel for essential reasons.
Queues have formed on the highway, increasing the risk of accidents, and staff have been subjected to abuse when implementing social distancing measures.
Please keep any waste you would usually take to the centre at home until they re-open.
