HOSPITAL staff who may be feeling overwhelmed from working on the frontline have been given a dedicated space to unwind.

Barnsley’s ‘wobble room’, available 24 hours a day, has already been deemed a useful answer to some of the stresses hardworking staff face.

The room features comfortable seating - appropriately spaced - therapy lights and refreshments.

Colin Brotherston-Barnett, equality lead, said: "The 'wobble room' has already proven to be such a useful resource and I'm sure it will continue to offer a little bit or respite when things seem overwhelming.

“Our staff work tirelessly to provide the best possible care.

“We're proud to care for our staff and the 'wobble room' is one small way to show that they are valued and that it's OK to take ten minutes or so for themselves."
