TWO men have been charged with robbery following an incident in Barnsley on May 8.
Steven Greenwood, 40, of Mount Avenue, Grimethorpe, and Mark Bligh, 34, of Greenhill Avenue, Honeywell, have both been charged with robbery after they appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The robbery occurred on the afternoon of May 8, when a man had cash and his phone stolen on Sheffield Road.
Both men have been remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on June 18.
DI Tom Woodward said: “We are committed to making our town safe, I want the pubic to have confidence that we will respond and deal with incidents such as robbery and burglary quickly and robustly.”
