Joey Barton is due to appear via video link at Sheffield Crown Court 12 noon on Monday in connection with the alleged assault on Daniel Stendel at Oakwell last year.
The Fleetwood Town manager is accused of causing injuries to the German – who was then Barnsley head coach – after the Reds’ 4-2 home win on April 13, 2019.
Barton has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
There is no trial date as yet fixed for the case.
