'Serious collision' involving cyclist on Doncaster Road

A CYCLIST has been seriously injured following a collision on Doncaster Road this morning.
Police were called to the scene of the incident at 10.20am today (August 11) following reports of an injured cyclist close to Stairfoot roundabout. The man has been taken to Northern General Hospital.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Emergency services are currently on scene responding to an incident on Doncaster Road in Barnsley.
“The road will remain closed while officers carry out enquires.”
