POLICE are appealing for footage after a town centre assault last weekend.
At 11pm on Saturday, police were called to Peel Street.
A 29-year-old man remains in a serious condition in hospital after he sustained injuries to his face and head.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and released on police bail.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information which could assist officers in their investigation should call 101 quoting incident number 1071 of September 5.”
Officers are also aware that there is footage of the incident which was recorded on mobile phones. They would like to speak to anyone who has footage of the incident.
