Head coach Gerhard Struber has left Barnsley to join MLS side New York Red Bulls.

The Austrian took charge in November last year and helped the Reds stay up on the final day of the season.
But the American outfit – part of the Red Bull set of clubs including Struber’s former employers Salzburg – have met his release clause and persuaded him to move to New York.
Adam Murray is set to take training on a caretaker basis as the Reds begin the recruitment process for their fifth coach in less than three years and their tenth in the last decade.
Struber was in charge for 39 games, winning 14, drawing eight and losing 17.
