FIXED penalty notices were handed to four people in the town centre last Thursday night after they were seen breaching Covid regulations.

Upon arrival on County Way, a well-known hotspot for antisocial behaviour, those on patrol found a number of vehicles gathered and issued £200 fines to four individuals.

A police spokesperson said: “Vehicles were found gathered at the car park.

“We are very much aware of repeated reports of antisocial use at the location, so it is always on our patrol plan.

“We will continue to patrol the area and take enforcement action where necessary, in relation to antisocial behaviour, traffic offences and breaches of Covid-19 regulations.”
