Barnsley captain Alex Mowatt has tested positive for Covid-19 and is one of four players who will miss tomorrow's trip to Championship leaders Norwich City.
Mowatt and back-up goalkeeper Brad Collins both tested positive on Wednesday while forwards Conor Chaplin and George Miller will also miss the game after having sustained contact with one of those players each.
The Reds will now increase the testing at Oakwell and social distancing but head coach Valerien Ismael wants them to keep playing.
Ismael said: "We have to deal with it. It is the chance for other players to start the game against Norwich. We are focused on the game and we need all the performance from the players. We have to respect the rules."
