Dominik Frieser will return for the Norwich City game on May 8 and there is a chance he will be joined by Herbie Kane and Liam Kitching, says Valerien Ismael.

Frieser injured his hamstring in Huddersfield last week. Ismael said: “Friesy looks very good. He is already training individually and making sprints. We don’t need to take any risks for Preston (on Saturday) but for Norwich he will be back.”

Kitching is back in full training with Kane set to join him soon, while Ben Williams is also getting closer to a return. Ismael said: “Liam Kitching has made big steps, he is keeping intensity with the team every day in training. It is good to see him training with consistency. Preston is too early for him and maybe he will play with the under 23s on Monday then we will take a decision about Norwich. Herbie Kane could come back this week but more likely next week and he could be in contention for Norwich. Ben Williams is fighting and near to training with the team.”
