Dominik Frieser is expected to be involved for Barnsley against Norwich City on Saturday, while Liam Kitching has a chance of making the first team squad for the first time.

Frieser, who missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, has been back in full training this week.

Kitching played 45 minutes for the under 23s on Monday then had two days off before returning to first team training today. Herbie Kane has been partly involved in first team training this week. Valerien Ismael said: “Dominik will be in the squad on Saturday, if nothing else happens.

“Liam will train on Friday then we will decide. It will be too soon for Herbie but he makes good steps.”

Left-back Ben Williams has been out for the entire season and is yet to return to full training.
