BARNSLEY is the worst place in the UK for bicycle thefts, a study has revealed.
A new report by The Compensation Experts revealed the borough has the highest rate of bikes stolen per person in the country.
The study was calculated by comparing government records of annual recorded bike thefts in 2020 with estimated population.
Rotherham comes a close second, while Wakefield and Doncaster are also in the top ten places.
