Penistone Church recorded a fourth successive NCEL Premier Division win with a 2-1 victory at Parkgate on Saturday.
Leon Hurles-Brook netted twice either side of a penalty equaliser.
Church are top with 12 points from five games.
Co-manager John Whitehead said: “We managed to turn out another very good performance when we had seven or eight bodies missing and the lads once again have proved the squad that we have here at Penistone currently is great.
“For the fourth consecutive game we’ve really turned the screw and managed to dictate play.
“We had a goal disallowed after two minutes which should have stood. We said to the lads at half-time that we hadn’t really engaged our full-backs in the first half we were pretty rigid as a back four and to expose Parkgate we needed to get them on the front foot.
“We certainly did that in the second half, taking the lead with a good goal.
“We conceded but it was a case of not panicking and continuing to play our style of football. Jack Roberts delivered a great ball in for Leon to finish at the back post with a diving header.”
Church are now due to play at Goole on Saturday, who are playing home matches behind closed doors due to previous problems with supporters.
