RESIDENTS are raising funds for CCTV cameras for Grimethorpe cemetery.

It comes amid concerns about youths hanging the area and stealing from graves.

SNT tasking officer, Paula Marshall said at the Cudworth PACT that her initial enquiries gave a figure of about £4,000 for a camera to be installed.

She said: "If money isn't raised then it won't be guaranteed that we will get funding to put up a camera.

"The issue then is who will be solely responsible for the camera.

"There's a lot of issues when you start to look into it. It could get damaged or stolen."
