A CRICKET club's score box will have to be rebuilt after it was deliberately set on fire.

It is thought it could cost up to £500 to rebuild the building used by Higham Cricket Club to keep score during matches.

He said members were trying to apply for a grant from the Yorkshire Cricket Board towards the repairs.

A spokesman for the fire service said the fire was reported at 7.15pm on Sunday and the crew, from Barnsley, stayed about half an hour.

The fire was logged as deliberate.
