SHAKESPEARE'S The Tempest was the final hurrah show for Kexborough Youth Theatre's musical director.
Claire Burgess, 56, of Ashdyke Close, Darton, has bowed out after being with the 20-strong group since 1998 and will be 'sorely missed' by youngsters under her direction.
They have performed more than 100 shows together and after the group tackled the heavy duty Tempest tale earlier this month, the second half of the show saw the youngsters, all aged between eight and 18, sing songs from some of Claire's favourite shows they have performed.
She says she's hanging up her boots because she's 'heading towards retirement age' but will hugely miss the group.
