A YOUNG mum has expanded her business by moving into Barnsley.

Jess Wood has just opened children’s craft centre Crafty Kids in Pot House Hamlet, in Silkstone.

Jess, 26, who has a six-year-old daughter Poppy, started the business in Denby Dale two years ago and it has already won awards.

She said Pot House Hamlet is in the perfect venue for Crafty Kids because of its other attractions that appeal to families and visitors of all ages.

Crafty Kids has a play gym, and youngsters, aged from babies to eight-year-olds, can get their hands on paints and pencils, Play Doh and play sand.

Jess said: “We provide all the resources and materials little ones to get crafty with. They can then take home whatever they make.

“We have qualified and background checked nursery practitioners on hand to help and advise adults and or children on what to make and how to do it.

“We have a variety of snacks and drinks for little ones and plenty of Yorkshire tea for parents.

“It is a fun and exciting environment for families and friends to meet and spend quality time with children.”
