AN ABANDONED nightclub is getting a new lease of life as a 'coffee shop and relax zone'.
The Regent Street building, once home to the Eyre Brothers car dealership, has a long history as a town centre night-spot under names including Japanese Whispers, Regent's Park, Heaven and Hell, Terminal One and most recently Goodfellas.
Work is underway and signs outside show it will open under the new name of the Hotspot Lounge.
It is understood the downstairs area will be a coffee lounge aimed at students, and the upstairs will be kept as bar and nightclub.
