A SECOND audit to assess the need for traffic-calming measures at an accident blackspot between Cudworth and Monk Bretton is set to be carried out.
A growing number of collisions on Burton Road has been a hot topic at the area’s PACT meeting since February when residents on West Green Avenue, which runs alongside the main road, urged councillors to step in.
Figures show five cars have come off the main road since the start of the year, narrowly avoiding hitting homes on West Green Avenue, which are protected by fencing that has already been mangled by previous smashes.
