A MOTHER whose daughter suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, epilepsy and learning difficulties has been nominated for a Proud of Barnsley award by her niece.

Adele Renshaw, of Monkspring, Worsbrough Dale, is a full time carer for her seven-year-old daughter Georgia, who was diagnosed about 18 months ago.

Adele has been nominated as carer of the year by her neice Chloe Deakin, who said her auntie always puts her children first.

Chloe said Georgia almost died after she was born six weeks premature.

She said Georgia's conditions had affected her behaviour and that she had been sent home from school most days before the diagnosis.
