American legend to headline Cawthorne music festival

AMERICAN legend Mary Chapin Carpenter will descend on Cawthorne this summer to headline a music festival in the village.
Underneath the Stars Festival will see the US songwriting legend lead the line-up at its second annual event, which will be held at Cannon Hall Farm between July 24 and 26.
This year the stellar line-up includes Eddi Reader, formerly of Fairground Attraction; Philip Selway (Radiohead) in an intimate singer-songwriter setting; Molotov Jukebox with their tropical-gypsy-dance sound fronted by Natalia Tena, of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones fame.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
