CONCERNED parents are becoming increasingly anxious about whether their children will be able to get to Penistone Grammar School after the school bus was axed.
The 411 bus service served the Pilley area, also picking up children from Hoyland and Worsbrough, and carried up to 50 children to Penistone.
The service was latterly funded by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive because no bus operators wanted to run the service commercially but that organisation withdrew its support at the end of the last term.
