AN area close to Farrar Street in Barnsley was cordoned off after a fight between three men - one of whom was thought to be carrying a gun.
Police were called to Ashram Court at about 11.30pm on Sunday following reports of the fight.
A police spokesman said one of the men was carrying a firearm which was fired during the incident but no one was injured.
Three men, aged 31, 26 and 24 were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. One of the men was also arrested on suspicion of affray.
They have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
