THE Arches in Pitt Street which closed two years ago will be open on Friday with it's original name - the Portcullis - over the door.
Business partners Wayne Birtles, 54, from Raley Street, Kingstone, and Michael Farnsworth, 46, from Huddersfield Road, previously owned the Withorpe Hotel, explained that it had cost more than £100,000 to refit the premises.
Michael said: "We've had to do everything including installing a new bar and toilets - you name it, we've replaced it.
"We plan to open the big room next month to host live music and we are really excited about the future."
