POLICE were called to reports of an armed robbery at a bookmakers in Royston last night.

 

It is reported that a man, armed with what is thought to be a handgun, entered the premises in Midland Road and made demands for money at around 9.30pm.

 

He then left with a quantity of cash. Nobody was injured in the incident.

 

The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, around 5ft 6ins tall and thin. He was wearing an orange hooded top and a red and white face covering.
