A MOTHER believes she and her family would be dead if a couple of arsonists who targeted a Barnsley street had succeeded in torching the caravan in which the family slept.
Jasmine Steeples, her partner Adam Cooper and their nine-month-old son Harley were all sleeping in the touring caravan, which they had just bought, to test it out.
But they were awoken at about 3am on Monday by Adam's mother, with whom they live, who told them a neighbour's car was on fire.
CCTV footage revealed a man and woman walking up the street trying to set vehicles alight.
Jasmine, 20, said: "The only reason they didn't fire our van was because the wind kept blowing out the lighter."
Anyone who witnessed the arsons or has any information should call 101 quoting incident number 154 of August 31.
