A MOTHER has nominated the midwife who delivered her daughter for her support, confidence and professionalism for an award.
Suzanne O'Donovan has been nominated in the Hospital Hero category of the Proud of Barnsley awards by patient Jannine Clark.
Jannine gave birth to her daughter Larna Clark at Barnsley Hospital on December 19 at 2.05am.
Throughout her time on the labour suite she was looked after by Suzanne.
In her nomination, Jannine said: "Suzanne was a great support to me throughout my labour not only with her confidence and professionalism which certainly put me at ease but it really helped to have someone who was friendly, smiling and supportive throughout and this made the experience much easier for me."
Suzanne said: "I'm really honoured to be nominated for this award. It is a pleasure to look after the women of Barnsley and it is nice to receive this recognition."
