A ROYSTON cake maker was chosen to create a wedding cake for a celebrity couple.

Tracey Timmins who owns CherryCakes in Royston was contacted by the PR agent for British model Chloe Lloyd and Union J band member Josh Cuthbert.

She was asked to create their wedding cake which took place on August 9 at Aynhoe Park near Banbury.

Tracey, 36, of Notton said: “Planning was definitely key when it came to creating this cake. We spent a whole week creating the cake, making the flowers, pearls and baking each tier.

“Chloe did email me ideas on how she wanted her cake to look and despite knowing I was creating a cake for a celebrity couple I was surprisingly calm.

“We left Barnsley at 6.30am to travel down to Aynhoe Park, and the grounds were absolutely stunning. We built the cake once we arrived at the venue and the cake suited the theme amazing.”

The cake was a centrepiece at the wedding, positioned under a chandelier and surrounded by flowers.

Tracey said: “I didn’t get to meet Chloe and Josh but Josh’s mum and dad came to look at the cake and they were very impressed.”

“Chloe and Josh’s PR agent contacted me to thank me for my work and said he managed to taste a bit of the cake and it tasted great, which was very encouraging.”

Her recent success follows the appearance of her cake on ITVBe’s programme The Real Housewives of Cheshire where she created a show stopper cake for a Gay Pride event featured on the programme in May.
