11:39am: Hello and welcome to the Chronicle's coverage of Barnsley's game against Millwall which is due to kick off at 1pm
11:41am: The game set to go ahead despite snow and low temperatures in Barnsley today. There is likely to be a yellow ball used
11:48am: A victory for fourth-bottom Barnsley would take them six points clear of the relegation zone. But they could be dragged closer to the drop zone if the winless Oakwell run continues and the bottom three win later on.
11:51am: The Reds are hoping to avoid an 11-match winless run at home which would equal a club record set in 1952/53 and 2012/13
11:52am: Millwall are also chasing a club record-equalling sixth successive away win
12:00pm: Barnsley team: Townsend; Yiadom, Lindsay, Jackson, Pinillos; Potts, Gardner, Williams; Thiam, Moore, McBurnie. Subs: Walton, Cavare, Pearson, Moncur, Bradshaw, Isgrove, Mahoney.
12:01pm: Goalkeeper Adam Davies’ partner is set to give birth so he misses the game. Nick Townsend back in and Jack Walton recalled from loan at Stalybridge.
12:01pm: Joe Williams misses out after struggling with an injury, and he is replaced by Stevie Mallan. Captain Andy Yiadom is not rotated this time but left-back Zeki Fryers is with Dani Pinillos coming back in.
12:06pm: Millwall team: Archer; Romeo, Hutchinson, Cooper, Meredith; Wallace, Saville, Williams, Marshall; Gregory, Morison. Subs: Martin, Cahill, Onyedinma, Tunnicliffe, Elliott, O'Brien, Shackell
12:09pm: Millwall have been on excellent form recently, with an unbeaten league run of 11 matches with five wins in their last six. That puts them within six points of the play-offs and they could halve that gap with victory in this lunchtime kick-off
12:12pm: Millwall have a poor record at Oakwell, having lost 16 of their 27 games there with four by a 4-1 scoreline. They have lost six of their last eight games here including the last three while the last win was a 3-1 success in 2012
12:18pm: Barnsley had won five successive matches over the Lions including their 2016 Wembley win in the League One play-off final
12:19pm: They also won at The Den in the league this season with Tom Bradshaw netting twice and Mamadou Thiam scoring a penalty
12:20pm: But the latest meeting of the two clubs saw Millwall thump Barnsley 4-1 in London in January in the third round of the FA Cup. Brad Potts put the visitors ahead but the hosts came back and Joe Williams was sent off
12:22pm: Former Barnsley captain Jason Shackell is on the bench for the visitors. He is on loan from Derby who is shown playing for against the Reds earlier this season
12:23pm: Ryan Tunnicliffe is also on the bench for Millwall. He had a loan spell with Barnsley in 2013
12:27pm: Barnsley striker Oliver McBurnie will be hoping to make it seven goals from eight starts for the Reds before joining up with the Scotland first team squad for the first team. He will looking to beat another man who has been called up for Scotland in Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer
12:31pm: It would be really important for Barnsley to get a win today and build some confidence going into the international break
12:57pm: Just a few minutes to go then until the start of this game. The mascots are out ready welcome the players as they leave the tunnel
13:01pm: The teams coming out. Also notice the blue lines due to the earlier snow
13:02pm: THE GAME IS UNDERWAY
13:03pm: Millwall's George Saville had scored after 51 seconds in his previous two games and that is the same about of time it took the Reds to concede at Middlesbrough a week ago. But Barnsley safely negotiate the first minute
13:05pm: There is still a smattering of snow in the Millwall penalty area in front of the Ponty End but that should go soon as the sun is shining
13:06pm: 4 Millwall win the first corner of the match. It's cleared at the back post by Brad Potts but Millwall had been penalised for a foul anyway
13:08pm: Not an action-packed start here but Barnsley seem to be settling after Millwall were on top very early
13:08pm: 7 Barnsley win a corner after McBurnie's shot is blocked from far out after a good Mallan run
13:09pm: 8 Barnsley worked the corner shot and it leads to Potts' cross-cum-shot being held easily by Archer
13:11pm: 9 Now Mamadou Thiam swings a cross from the right which goes over Archer and is cleared
13:13pm: Gary Gardner concedes a free-kick after wrestling a Millwall man to the ground. The atmosphere in here is quite lively from both sets of fans
13:15pm: Today could be a big day for Mamadou Thiam, he has not scored in 22 matches since netting a penalty against Millwall in September
13:16pm: 14 A good Millwall move down the right ends with Steve Morison having a shot block inside the Barnsley box
13:18pm: 16 Andy Yiadom misplaces a pass on the attack the Millwall's Shaun Williams sends a cross field ball out of play. Real lack of quality so far from both teams
13:19pm: 17 Thiam breaks down the right wing and sends in a low cross which is choose over his own bar from Cooper for a corner. Mallan takes and it is cleared
13:21pm: 19 Panic in the Millwall box as Thiam's left-wing cross is badly dropped by goalkeeper Archer but he gathers
13:21pm: 19 Thiam is putting plenty of crosses in, this latest one is headed by Moore on target but straight at Archer who catches easily
13:23pm: Millwall don't currently look like the league's form team who have won their last five away in a row
13:26pm: Barnsley 0, Millwall 1. Lee Gregory
13:27pm: Gregory was slipped through on goal and, although he shot lacked power, it trickled past Nick Townsend who had come off his line and went into the net
13:27pm: Harsh on Barnsley who had been marginally the better team so far
13:29pm: Millwall are looking to make it 2-0 here and a low cross is whipped across the box but out of Gregory's reach
13:30pm: That goal was a real hammer blow for the Reds who have had to try to come from behind far too many times recently
13:31pm: The conditions are awful out there with a drizzling snow sweeping across Oakwell
13:32pm: 30 Gary Gardner is still looking for his first Barnsley goal and he will need to do better than this 25-yard effort which goes well wide
13:35pm: The game has got a bit scrappy now with Barnsley struggling to find the rhythm they had before the goal
13:36pm: 34 Millwall could be 2-0 up, Gregory goes through then is tackled in the box but Saville rounds goalkeeper Townsend and – from a tight angle on the left with several defenders o n the line - he blazes well over
13:37pm: The snow has gone and the sun us back out. This could almost pass for a nice spring day. But it's still bitterly cold
13:38pm: Less than ten minutes remaining in this half which Barnsley started well but then fell behind. Can they level before the break?
13:39pm: The home fans are getting a bit restless here and grumble as Brad Potts badly misplaces a pass to Andy Yiadom
13:41pm: 40 Stevie Mallan has a 30-yard shot which is easily saved by Archer diving down to his right
13:43pm: 41 Liam Lindsay badly misses a header in his box but then is dragged back by Steve Morison and Barnsley get the free-kick
13:44pm: The home fans are getting very annoyed burg the officials. They thought Kieffer Moore was fouled on the edge of the Lions box but the linesman sees it the other way and gives Millwall a free-lick
13:46pm: 44 After a good move, Millwall's Ben Marshall has a 20-yard shot which was going wide but Townsend got down to save anyway
13:46pm: 44 Liam Lindsay heads a Thiam corner just over the bar, that's probably the closest the Reds have come so far
13:47pm: 45 Farcical scenes in the Reds box as the reaches Morison who looks certain to score but kicks nothing but air five yards out
13:48pm: HALF-TIME: Barnsley 0, Millwall 1. The Reds are booed off
14:03pm: A very sloppy first half for the Reds. Stevie Mallan lost the ball for the goal and Daniel Pinillos was lucky not to give away a second after his attempted clearance was sliced straight to Morison who inexplicably missed
14:04pm: George Moncur is coming on at half-time. Looks like Steve Mallan is the man dropping out
14:06pm: SECOND HALF UNDERWAY
14:06pm: Mallan will be really disappointed with his performance, especially the error for the goal. His set pieces are good but he needs to prove he has more to his game
14:07pm: A big chance for George Moncur who has barely featured under Jose Morais
14:08pm: 47 Already Moncur shows what he can bring to the team with a driving 30-yard run into the Millwall half, He wins a free-kick which Pinillos takes a nd it leads to Lindsay cheating the ball down and having a 15-yard shot which is well saved by Archer
14:13pm: Moncur is making a really difference so far, surging forward on good runs and getting the Reds further into Millwall territory
14:15pm: Barnsley have started this half quite well but they need to make it count as they failed to do in the first half
14:17pm: 56 A good move leads to Moore after a shot blocked in the box, corner
14:17pm: 56 Thiam's corner goes past everyone and Millwall clear easily
14:18pm: 58 Moore comes close again, heading a Potts cross and forcing a good save out of Archer diving to is left. But again the resulting corner from Thiam is well over every in the box
14:20pm: So that's twice Archer has got down to his left to tip shots around the bottom left corner in the second half, from Lindsay and now Moore
14:21pm: This game is one hour old. This next 30 minutes could be huge for Barnsley who are looking to avoid a club record of 11 games at Oakwell without winning while, more importantly, trying to put some more daylight between themselves and the bottom three who play later today
14:23pm: GOAL: Ben Marshall. A superb strike into the top corner. Barnsley 0, Millwall 2
14:24pm: One again the Reds begin a half well but fall behind and it is hard to see them coming back from this
14:25pm: Pinillos was again guilty of losing the ball and it was moved across to Marshall who sent a superb strike into the top right corner
14:26pm: 65 for the third time this half Archer gets down to his left to tip a low shot wide
14:26pm: 66 Bradshaw comes on for Brad Potts. Barnsley now have four strikers on the pitch
14:27pm: 66 Lee Gregory so close to making it 3-0 after being slipped through by Morison but Townsend makes an impressive one-on-one save
14:27pm: What has massively let Barnsley down today has been their very sloppy passing in their own half which has led to both goals and plenty of other chances and attacks
14:30pm: We are more than two thirds through this game now and Barnsley have a mountain to climb to even rescue a point
14:31pm: Oliver McBurnie has been quiet today. It may be time to recognise he is the best goal threat and play him up front. If that means abandoning the 4-3-3 formation then Morais may just have to do that
14:32pm: Currently Barnsley are playing with four up front, with McBurnie on the left, Thiam on the right and Bradshaw joining Moore in the middle. Moncur and Gardner are on their own in the midfield
14:34pm: 73 McBurnie thinks he as scored his seventh in eight starts with a header which beats the goalkeeper but Cooper hooks off the line. Barnsley then had another good. chance when Thiam jinks into the box but his shot is straight at Archer who beats it away
14:35pm: 74 Former Barnsley captain Jason Shackell is booed onto the pitch as he replaces Lee Gregory. A centre-back for a striker as Millwall react to Barnsley's 4-2-4
14:37pm: 76 Gardner has another long-range effort but it whistles wide of the bottom left corner
14:37pm: The home stands are slowly starting to empty as Barnsley fans have had enough of watching their team lose in freezing conditions. it looks like being two wins in 24 games home or away and three in 28 in league matches at Oakwell
14:39pm: Ben Marshall, who scored the excellent second goal, is replaced by Fred Onyedimna who has a good goals record against the Reds and will fancy another today
14:40pm: 80 Jake Cooper heads a corner wide. A third goal would finish this game
14:41pm: Centre-back Liam Lindsay is taken off for winger Lloyd Isgrove
14:42pm: It now looks like a front five for the Reds with McBurnie, Bradshaw and Moore flanked by Isgrove and Thiam
14:43pm: Gary Gardner appears to be playing centre-back with just George Moncur in midfield
14:44pm: McBurnie is dropping back to help Moncur, as is Isgrove
14:45pm: 85 It should be 3-0 after Onyedinma gets the better of Yiadom and goes clean through but fires wide
14:49pm: 88 Good ball by McBurnie over the top but Moore has to stretch and can only volley it up in the air for Archer to catch
14:50pm: 90 A long ball falls to Bradshaw in the box but he blazes over from a tight angle on the right
14:50pm: 90 Tim Cahill comes on for Steve Morison.
14:51pm: Three added minutes in what is now a snow blizzard at Oakwell
14:53pm: Full-time: Barnsley 0, Millwall 2
