BARNSLEY'S Kenny Doughty is hoping to feature in another series of Vera, after making his debut in the hit ITV show as her sidekick DS Aiden Healy.
Kenny, from Wombwell, starred alongside Brenda Blethyn in Sunday's episode which saw DCI Vera Stanhope and DS Healy investigate a mysterious death at a caravan park.
He replaced David Leon, who played DS Joe Ashworth.
