BARNSLEY is set to turn pink for the funeral of a little girl people took to their hearts.

Ebonie Webb – who battled a brain tumour all of her life – died at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice on Tuesday morning, aged seven.

Her heartbroken parents Leanne Drummond and Michael Webb have invited people to the service next week to help celebrate the life of their daughter. Those attending are asked to wear pink – Ebonie’s favourite colour.

Barnsley folk raised an unprecedented £100,000 to help Ebonie and the cash will now be used to set up a charity – Chasing Rainbows with Ebonie Webb – to help other children with brain tumours.

Her funeral will take place on Friday April 24.  Those wishing to attend should arrive at Emmanuel Methodist Church at 11.30am.
