BARNSLEY Market has been named as one of the top markets in the country for traders looking to set up stalls.

The market was ranked ninth out of more than 700 in the UK.

The ranking has been put together by independent organisation Startups, which provides help for new business owners.

Startups scored markets on several criteria, including number of stalls, accessibility and online popularity.
