BARNSLEY is to get a new late-night bus as part of a major review of services.
Bus operator Stagecoach Yorkshire is introducing the N27 service Barnsley – Brierley – Grimethorpe on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings.
The service will be introduced on August 30 and will run hourly at 12.25am, 1.25am, 2.25am and 3.25am.
It will be Barnsley's second night bus following the launch of the N66 that serves Birdwell, Hoyland and Elsecar.
Stagecoach's John Young said: "For passengers who enjoy visiting pub and clubs, or those on a night out in the town centre, it offers a safe and affordable way home to areas including Lundwood, Cudworth, Shafton, Brierley and Grimethorpe."
