Barnsley have solved their goalkeeper shortage by signing Nottingham Forest's Jordan Smith on a one-week loan deal.

The Reds' first choice stopper Adam Davies is on international duty with Wales while back-up Jack Walton is injured. That means they are allowed to make an emergency loan signing for tomorrow's match at Accrington Stanley.

Smith, 23, came through the academy at Forest and has played 44 Championship games for them including in a 2-1 loss at Oakwell last season. His only appearance since January was in the Carabao Cup against Bury in August when he was sent off.
