A BARNSLEY woman has launched her own business making clothing for pooches.

A Pawfect Fit is a company that does exactly what it says on the tin - both for the dog and the lady who makes the stuff they wear.

Sandra Hill, 39, of Rowland Road, Barnsley, started when she was asked to make a coat for a massive Newfoundland after its owner struggled to find one.

She did such a good job with the garment, that soon the word was out and other owners were requesting items of clothing for their pets.

Now she supplies off the peg and made-to-measure items including collars, coats, sweaters and swoats - a coat and sweater combo.

She also makes slobber bibs with Dickie bows and baseball caps - all for dogs.

"I created a Pawfect Fit when I found that like human clothing, the standard sizes were not suitable for most dogs' actual shape and proportions."
