WHAT'S the link between a Hoyland fitness worker and a packet of sausages? She's been chosen as a face of the brand.

Mum-of-four Elizabeth Coldwell, 49, is one of 100 people from across the country to be pictured on the packaging of national sausage brand The Black Farmer.

Elizabeth, of King Street, sent in her Facebook profile picture to the gluten free sausage firm after seeing an appeal on the social network.

The company had put out a call for people to get involved in promoting its brand and Elizabeth was chosen on a first-come-first-served basis from thousands of others.

The 100 faces feature on the pack of special edition pork, apple and cider sausages which are now appearing on supermarket shelves. All the photos are Facebook profile pictures.

Elizabeth works at Prime Mover personal trainers in Sheffield which advocates healthy diet, fat loss and exercise.

She said: "One day I saw The Black Farmer Facebook request for a photo, clicked on, and the next thing a message came through asking me to sign a model release form."

Elizabeth said her company Prime Mover recommended gluten-free products as part of a healthy diet.

"We have just been in the Daily Mail after helping plumber Neil Eaton - who was 20 stones - to lose eight stones," she said.

Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones from The Black Farmer said: "The success of our brand is due in no small part to the extraordinary support we get from our fans on Facebook.

"This special edition pork, apple and cider flavour is our way of saying thank you and allowing them the opportunity to be part of something exciting and new."

The brand invites consumers to join in various projects via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Wilfred added: "Not only do our fans follow us but they actively recommend us and lobby the retailers when they can't find us in store."
