BARNSLEY lass Catherine Hawkins was rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous when she was invited to the launch of P and O's new cruise ship the Britannia.
The trip was part of a prize Catherine won in a competition to become a stylist for the ship which was launched last week in Southampton by Her Majesty the Queen.
The prize saw Catherine consider the ship's colour schemes and give opinions on who should be ship's chef.
She then attended a dinks reception hosted by Rob Brydon followed by the celebration dinner prepared by chefs James Martin, Atul Kochhar, Marco Pierre White and Eric Lanlard.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
