A FUNDRAISING trio will raise cash for Barnsley Hospital’s Tiny Hearts Appeal this weekend - by driving an ageing Fiat Punto all the way to Benidorm.
Father and son duo Dave and Nick Booth will be joined by their friend Michael Kennedy on the jaunt to Spain which begins on Sunday.
The lads are one of around 30 cars travelling south as part of the TJ’s Rally Elite event.
Dave, of Green Road, Penistone, said: “We’re all set to go and we’ll be scrapping the car when we’re there. It was cheap to buy and we’ve painted it especially for the event, so hopefully it’ll get to Benidorm in one piece.
“It’s for a great cause so hopefully we’ll raise a decent amount of cash for the Tiny Hearts Appeal.”
