IMPROVEMENTS have been made at a Mapplewell care home in relation to safe care and treatment.

Field View Care Home, on Spark Lane, was visited by inspectors who rated it overall as ‘requires improvement.’

At the previous inspection published earlier this year, the home was rated as inadequate for safety.

It is now rated as requires improvement for being safe, effective, responsive and well led and is rated as good for being caring.

At this inspection, inspectors found some improvement in relation to governance had not been maintained, but people felt safe and were treated with respect and kindness, medicines were managed safely and the home was clean. Plans were in place for refurbishment to make the home more dementia friendly.
