BOMB disposal experts were forced to carry out controlled explosions after a dead munitions collector was discovered in a 'museum' of war weapons.

Hundreds of World War Two munitions including grenades, bullets, guns and mortar shells had to be removed from a terraced house in Penistone this week.

The incident began when police were called to the house on Sheffield Road. A man was found dead and the house was filled with various pieces of large and small ammunition dating back to the Second World War.
