A BOY has been seriously injured by a car following a hit and run collision in Thurnscoe.
The 16-year-old is in hospital after being struck by a car at 10.10pm on Wednesday September 17.
He was walking with a 15-year-old girl along when an unknown car - believed to be travelling along Barrowfield Road towards Bolton-on-Dearne -hit them both. It is alleged that the vehicle did not stop at the scene. The boy is being treated for serious injuries - the girl had minor injuries.
The vehicle is believed to a dark-coloured small car, possibly a hatchback. The car may have some damage.
