HE’S a real bright spark - that’s Barnsley College electrical engineering apprentice Jake Bell who has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
Jake, 18, of Mileswood Close, Great Houghton, who is studying for a level three electrical installation apprenticeship, has been nominated for the national Sparks UK Apprentice of the Year award.
Jake, who works for his dad Lee’s company Bell’s Electrical, has excelled during his training both at college and on the job.
